Matt Bonner

Business Advisory & Taxation Services, Partner, Wellington

Matt joined Baker Tilly Staples Rodway Wellington in 2014. Having started his career in a boutique tax practice, he brings his experience of dealing with high wealth individuals and families with complex domestic and international tax issues.

He has a particular interest in land transactions, GST and tax effective structuring, blending his practical and accounting skills with complex tax ideas to provide clients with pragmatic solutions that work.

Matt regularly presents tax training both in-house and externally with a wide range of organisations and CA firms.

A keen outdoors enthusiast, Matt spends most weekends running, riding his mountain bike, or fishing on the Kāpiti Coast. He is also committed to continuing his te reo Māori journey, after completing Levels 1 and 2 Te Ara Reo Māori with Te Wānanga o Aotearoa in 2021.
