Andrea leads the Hawkes Bay firm’s Human Resources division, providing support to a wide range of clients in leadership development, change management, performance management, recruitment, and career and executive coaching. With a Masters degree in Social Science, Andrea is a specialist in Organisational Psychology, helping ensure people have the right capabilities and personalities to fit into and flourish in their roles. She also works with clients to conduct team interventions that promote better collaboration and performance.
“As a nationwide network we pride ourselves on the depth of leadership and knowledge in our teams across every region we operate in. Andrea has been instrumental in building up the capability of our Hawkes Bay HR division over more than a decade, and this promotion recognises her outstanding willingness and ability to guide both clients and colleagues along their own leadership journeys,” said David Searle, National Chair.
As well as being a certified executive coach, Andrea is a mother of four, volunteers with the Springboard Trust to help school leaders develop their skills and is also completing a Certificate in Apiculture to support her new hobby of beekeeping.
Fellow new Director Jed is in the Business Advisory Services team at Baker Tilly Staples Rodway Taranaki. He provides tax advice, management reporting, cashflow and budgeting support to local clients. Having spent five years working in Australia, where he trained to become a chartered accountant, Jed also advises clients on navigating the tax and business environment across the Tasman.
In his spare time, Jed has a passion for Ironman competitions and triathlons, most recently competing in the 2019 Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, as well as having a young family.
“Jed displays an incredible attitude, as someone who devotes the same energy and positive enthusiasm to his clients as to competitive sport. Some people see challenges as opportunities, but Jed takes those learning opportunities and turns them into absolute strengths.
“The sustained growth we’ve seen in recent years wouldn’t be possible without people like Andrea and Jed on the team, and this promotion is well deserved,” David said.
