Hawke's Bay Events

Our Hawke’s Bay office offers a full calendar of seminars and workshops to help with your business training and development. In 2024, our specialists will cover leadership, HR and employment law, HR disciplinary and performance, tax, Xero and AI tools.

See below for more details and return to this page for upcoming activities, including our popular Women Influencing Women events.

Please join our HR Associate and Licensed Private Investigator Kerry Tattersall on 14 March in a workshop that will focus on the skills needed to help you tackle poor performance in order to get your employees back on track.

In this two-hour workshop, Kerry will take participants through the procedurally correct and fair process of dealing with poor performance to ensure that any employer having to initiate a PIP does so as per the good faith principles of the Employment Relations Act.

Each participant will leave the session with the step-by-step guide to running a PIP.

Be sure to register for this complimentary informative seminar with Andrea Stevenson, Director at Baker Tilly Staples Rodway and Libby Brown of Brown and Bates at 7.45am on 13 March as they bring you a brief on HR and Employment Relations issues and going-ons and facilitate some relevant HR conversations.

At this seminar you will get the latest information in HR as well as Employment Law, to include relevant changes in law for employers and overview of recent case law.

Every year we offer multiple opportunities to engage with our business community and this year is no different.  Please join us on the determined dates as we deliver six complimentary informational seminars which allow you to network and learn the latest on the topic offered.  Three topics are HR and employment law updates, one is a tax update and two are business advisory in nature.

Look for invites throughout the year but you can preview the entire schedule in our flyer.
