Women Influencing Women – From Superyachts to Glamping to Thermomix: An Evening of Food, Stories & Inspiration
Join us on Wednesday 27 August at 4.30 pm at Baker Tilly Staples Rodway for a relaxed and inspiring evening as we sit down with a remarkable woman whose journey has taken her from the kitchens of superyachts to the hills of Hawke’s Bay.
Born and raised in Hawke’s Bay, Lucia Gordon has lived a life full of adventure, creativity, and bold decisions—from cooking for billionaires in the Mediterranean to building a glamping business on a 2000-acre coastal farm with her husband and young family.
Together with her husband Tom—a sixth-generation farmer and Farm Forester of the Year—they’ve transformed a corner of their land in Clifton into a unique, off-grid glamping experience that’s captured national media attention. Their story is one of passion, resilience, and making bold ideas happen.
In a candid Q&A, she’ll share stories of:
- Life as a young au pair in Italy and Switzerland
- Cheffing on luxury yachts across the Med and Caribbean
- Building a glamping business from scratch
- Finding fulfilment through food and her new venture with Thermomix
After the Q&A, she’ll treat us to a live Thermomix demonstration, preparing two delicious dishes—ice cream and risotto—for us to enjoy.
Whether you're a business owner, professional, or simply love a good story and great food, RSVP now!
