Women Influencing Women – November Charity Event
Join us for our final Women Influencing Women event of the year — a morning of connection, inspiration, and purpose.
This special gathering supports two incredible local charities:
Family Violence Intervention & Prevention Charitable Trust and Te Whare Whānau Pūrotu (Māori Women’s Refuge).
Family VIP Services supports Hawke’s Bay families to live free from violence. They provide confidential services to women, men, children, and our community; tailored to every individual’s needs. Their services are designed to create an environment which protects, guides and supports families affected by violence and abuse.
Te Whare Whānau Pūrotu provides support and advocacy for wāhine, tamariki, and whānau impacted by family violence. Their kaupapa is to empower wāhine to realise their full potential and achieve independence. They offer confidential, culturally responsive services and holistic, wrap-around support tailored to meet the unique needs of each whānau.
We’re honoured to welcome Julie Hart from Family VIP and Dennise Elers from Māori Women’s Refuge, who will share insights into their work and the powerful stories of the women they support on Wednesday, 26 November at 7.45am in our office. A light breakfast will be provided.
How You Can Help: Register to attend our event and a $20 donation will be collected, going directly towards petrol vouchers for the women these organisations assist.
This event also supports our Baker Tilly Puāwai – 11 Months of Giving initiative.
Throughout the year, our team has been gathering food and toiletry items to donate to these two incredible charities. If you'd like to contribute, you're warmly encouraged to bring along grocery or personal care items to add to our collection.
