Dave McCone

Business Advisory and Specialist Services, Director, Christchurch

Dave has been a Baker Tilly Staples Rodway Director since 1998, having joined the firm in 1994.

He grew up in a farming community in North Otago, which has given him a strong work ethic and a wealth of stories from those years. He did his OE with Coopers & Lybrand in the UK, before returning to live in Christchurch. Over many years, he has developed a large and loyal base of clients who appreciate his deep understanding of business issues.

While he is always busy with his clients, Dave also makes time for voluntary community roles, and is currently involved with the Cancer Society and the Christchurch City Mission.

  • Structuring and ongoing advice regarding appropriate and efficient business ownership structures
  • Management reporting, including provision of regular management accounts and advice
  • Franchising, both franchisors and franchisees including feasibility analysis and due diligence
  • General accounting advice, including annual statutory financial accounts and associated tax matters
