Marise has been with Baker Tilly Staples Rodway since 1986 and became a Director of the firm in 2008. She has extensive experience in advising both commercial and rural businesses on compliance and reporting issues, business structures, business and strategic plans, and budgeting. She also works with families to help them develop plans to secure inter-generational ownership and transfer of businesses, wealth, knowledge and other family assets.

Marise specialises in business valuation and has successfully completed valuations for rural businesses, particularly equity partnerships, involving ownership of dairy farms throughout the region.

Because Marise has a diverse level of experience, ranging from her time as a hands-on dairy farmer to governance through Directorships she has on several rural based companies, she is able to take a pragmatic approach to providing solutions and advice to business owners. Her understanding and empathy for both small and large business owners ensures that she can add a level of insight that clients appreciate when dealing with banks, and striving to grow their business in this unforgiving economic environment.
