Hamish has over 10 years’ experience in public practice accounting, beginning his career at another large local firm in 2015 before joining Baker Tilly Staples Rodway in 2022. As a Manager in the Business Advisory Services team, he is passionate about people and culture, and about building strong, lasting relationships with clients, colleagues, and the wider community.

Hamish brings broad experience across compliance accounting, management reporting, strategic planning, cashflow management, commercial secondments, insolvency, and governance, including chairing the fundraising committee for a prominent local charity.

He focuses on the real-world impact of accounting and business decisions, with a strong emphasis on improving the lifestyle and long-term outcomes of clients and their families. Both in and out of work, Hamish is deeply connected to Taranaki and enjoys contributing to its unique community and natural environment.
