Melissa started work at Baker Tilly Staples in 2012 as the Internal HR Consultant, working part time. Driving strategy, putting processes into place and cementing a positive culture were the priorities. A year down the track, the role had grown and a full time person was required. Three years later, as a consequence of growth in the HR team, she returned, as a HR Business Consultant.
Having worked in London for 5 years in a large HR team at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), then back in NZ at Nestle and TVNZ, the lure of working with an experienced, professional and motivated HR team was the draw card to return to Baker Tilly Staples Rodway.
Melissa’s skills lie in building relationships and really understanding your business. She is passionate about working with you to identify what your needs are and putting the right, cost effective, strategies into place. She strongly believes that creating a great organisational culture is crucial for businesses, and the ones that are great at this, are the ones that are succeeding, productive and have motivated employees.
