Claire enjoys working in partnership with her clients to find practical tax solutions in a commercial environment, taking complex tax concepts and communicating these to her clients in an accessible way.
Claire started her tax career in the UK and comes to Baker Tilly Staples Rodway from EY; she has over 15 years corporate tax experience in New Zealand, including a 2 year secondment to Australia.
Claire has experience across a wide range of industries including retirement, aged care, property, banking, finance and charities. Her particular interests include financial arrangements, land transactions, charity tax and compliance, international tax, structure consulting, tax effect accounting, Inland Revenue liaison and dispute management.
